The Luffa has many names, both common and scientific. Commonly it is known as Luffa Sponge, Loofa Loofah or sponge gourd. Scientifically it is known as Luffa cylindrical, Luffa aegyptiaca, or Luffa aegyptica.
 

The Luffa, a cousin of the cucumber, originated in Indian subcontinent, but is now also grown in China, Japan, Korea and Central America, and of course Bangladesh where it is cultivated in rich alluvial soil.

The fruit is edible only when young and immature and is frequently grown by rural Bangladeshi housewives as vegetables for soups and stews for the family, also as an extra source of income. It can also be cooked in the same way as summer squash or okra.
 

The mature fruit forms a tough sponge-like fibrous netting inside and when it is dried the skin and seeds are removed and cleaned, and the fibres then used as sponges. Once this stage is complete the Luffa has multiple uses; -

 On a personal level Luffa are wonderful in the bath or shower and will leave your skin exfoliated, glowing and clean.

 Luffa sponge can also be used as a back scrubber.

 Luffa sponge can be cut into various shapes and sizes for pads, mats and a host of craft items.

 Home soap makers often include small pieces of Luffa in their creations to make them more effective as cleansers.

 Luffas are invaluable for cleaning almost everything, including cars, plastics and most importantly non-stick cookware.

 Luffas can be used as insulation or to stuff pillows (invaluable for asthmatics).

Adrich Corporation Limited would like to make an agreement with prospective buyers as their supplier for a for a long term basis.

Shipment:
